Bizzare Tree

I took this photo in January 2010  while I was living in Dongguan, South China and I recently noticed it while looking through my photos. For some reason I like this photograph more everytime I see it. The photo is of a Ceiba speciosa,a tree found throughout Southern China. The tree is actually native to South America, but can now be found in many tropical and subtropical regions around the world . The tree has large defensive spikes on its trunk for the first 2 meters, which when photographed up close look alot like tall spikey mountains.
